Today (10/16) is National Taco Day, so welcome to my Taco Appreciation Post!

The list of reasons why tacos are a gift from God is endless, but here are my top 10:

• 2. They’re customizable!

  Guess what can go in a taco? Pretty much anything! Spice it up or dress it down; either way, make it your own! (Shrimp tacos are one of my favorite dishes!)

• 3. Four meals in one!

  We all have those days where we can't decide what we're in the mood for, and with tacos, you don't have to choose! Most places will allow you to order a mix of varieties in one dish!

• 5. They’re perfect for picky eaters.

  This kinda goes back to the fact that you can customize any taco, but even picky eaters can always find something they like with tacos.

• 6. Switch it up with different shells!

  Hard, soft, corn, flour...you can change up your choice of shell and feel like you're eating an entirely different meal.
• 7. Roll it up and create an altogether new food!

  A burrito is a taco, don't even try to argue with me about this. Making your taco into a burrito also makes it more portable, for places like the car or movie theater. I know this from experience.

• 8. You can literally put ANYTHING into a taco!

  Ok, don't knock this until you try it: the spaghetti taco is one of the greatest foods I've ever invented, TRUST ME.

• 9. Tacos aren’t just for lunch or dinner!

  If you've never put some scrambled eggs, sausage & bacon in a taco, well...bless your heart! It'll change your life.
• 10. Tacos are the perfect food for literally any occasion.

  Sad? A taco will make it feel better. Happy? Celebrate with a taco. Broke? A dollar buys a taco. Rich? Treat yo'self with a taco. Lonely? Tacos are your friend. Partying with friends? Everyone loves tacos!
