Georgia Cities Week: See What These Local Counties Have In Store For The Community
It is Georgia Cities Week ( April 21 through April 27) – a week sponsored by the Georgia Municipal Association that will give cities the opportunity to:
- Share information about the valuable services cities provide to residents, including an inside look into city operations and how cities positively impact their quality of life
- Highlight successful community projects and infrastructure enhancements
- Connect residents
- Build or improve working relationships with state leaders and legislators
Georgia Cities Week has been going on for 25 years. Last year over 160 cities teamed up with the Georgia Municipal Association to join in on Georgia Cities Week. This year Columbia County and Richmond County are celebrating this informative week.
Often times the work that the city government is putting in for the community may get overlooked, so this week allows the city to bring awareness and highlight those things.
The City of Grovetown in Columbia County has a full schedule for each day this week filled with activities and events to celebrate the city government and the services that it provides.
