Springsteen’s Broadway Residency Already Extended Before Opening Night
Springsteen On Broadway is joining the list of Great White Way shows to be extended before the curtain rises for the first night.
Bruce Springsteen‘s residency at the Walter Kerr Theatre, which begins October 3 with five shows a week, has been extended from its original end date of November 26 through February 3. That will bring the total to 79 shows, and tickets for the new dates go on sale at 10 a.m. September 7 through Ticketmaster’s Verified Fan service.
The shows will feature Springsteen playing music as well as reading excerpts from his 2016 memoir Born To Run. Springsteen told the New York Times that, “My show is just me, the guitar, the piano and the words and music…It loosely follows the arc of my life and my work. All of it together is in pursuit of my constant goal to provide an entertaining evening and communicate something of value.”
