The Veggie Park Farmers Market Hosted By Augusta Locally Grown Is Back
The indoor market is back!
The Veggie Park Farmers Market, presented by Augusta Locally Grown, takes place at The Hub for Community Innovation Augusta on Chafee Ave. This is an indoor market with local farmers and vendors selling fresh produce and handmade items.
Thursday, April 18, was the opening day for the market. It will take place every Thursday starting at 4 pm and go until 7 pm. You can explore two long hallways filled with local goodies.
I have some advice – get there early! I arrived at about 6 pm yesterday. While other vendors still had items others were completely sold out.
For the opening day of the season, they had a little bit of everything from kids BINGO Table with Veggie Prizes to a live DJ. There were also food tasting DEMOS happening and Prime Time Food Truck was out in the courtyard for your dinner needs.
If you can’t make it in person they also have the market online and you can get it delivered!
