New Barbeque Restaurant Headed For Riverwood Town Center In Evans
A new barbeque, Natty BBQ, restaurant will be coming to Riverwood Town Center in Evans, Ga.
Natty BBQ will be the third restaurant to be in this location, must be a popular spot!
What Will Natty BBQ Serve?
No word on the exact menu has been mentioned just yet. I would assume your typical BBQ menu like ribs, barbeque chicken, pulled pork, macaroni, you know all of that good stuff. I would also assume the menu will have some Natty specialty items that you can only get there.
The original restaurant in that location was Flying Biscuit, an Atlanta-based franchise, that I personally think came a little too early for the area. Evans has gained a lot more traction in that area over the last few years as well as in the entire city.
Flying Biscuit served breakfast, brunch, and lunch. They served grits, eggs, and pancakes are usual brunch needs. One of their signature items was biscuits of course, but for the entire first year that they were located in that area, they couldn’t sell their infamous biscuits because they had a non-compete with Bojanagles. A non-compete agreement is an agreement that prohibits an employee from leaving one job and then engaging in the same type of business for another employer. They ended up closing shop.
After that, Yoskos Japanese Steakhouse operated in the space. They were first located at 2825 Washington Road in the Fairway Square Shopping Center in Augusta. That location closed and they moved to this Willam Few Parkway location and ended up permanently closing as well.
Riverwood Town Center is home to a few local retail shops and eateries like Ironwood Tavern, Vampire Penguins, Rooted Coffeehouse, The SwankCompany, and more. It is also home to some chain locations like McDonald’s and Publix.
No official opening date has been released.
Could Natty BBQ be just what the area is missing?
