Mariah Carey Declares ‘It’s Time’ On November 1
With Halloween over, the “Queen of Christmas” Mariah Carey has thawed out. Keeping up with her annual November 1 tradition, the singer, 54, kicked off the countdown to Christmas and declared, “It’s…… TIME!!!” The singer shared a video of herself being defrosted for the holly jolly season. In the video, the date and time changes from October 31 11:59 to November 1 12:00 as a vault door swings open to reveal Carey frozen in a block of ice wearing a Mrs. Claus-style jumpsuit.
Four people wearing Halloween costumes, including a pumpkin head, a Jason Voorhees mask, a plague doctor mask, and a mask from the movie Scream, start melting the ice with hairdryers. Carey shatters through the “melted ice” and then belts out, “It’s time!” in a high-pitched voice and giggles. Her festive classic “All I Want for Christmas Is You” then starts playing as she frolics in the falling snow. Carey is joined by festive elves and her 12-year-old twins, Moroccan and Monroe, who are also dressed for the Christmas season with festive light necklaces glowing around their necks.

Leading up to her Christmas countdown, Carey let her 12.3 million Instagram followers know while in costume, “Not yet.” First dressing up as Jessica Rabbit from Who Framed Roger Rabbit? Then, Carey dressed up as Regina George from Mean Girls when her tank top was cut out to expose her bra. She hilariously captioned the clip: “whatever i’m getting cheese fries” and added “#notyet” for those awaiting the “Queen of Christmas” to thaw out.
As we previously reported, Carey’s November 1 thaw last year consisted of the singer pedaling on a stationary bike, getting glammed up as a witch wearing a sexy leather outfit and heavy makeup. Bats with calendar dates on them flew around, and when November 1st approached, Carey’s sinister laugh and glitter hit the screen, unveiling a completely new look. Wearing a Santa suit dress, Carey is now sitting on top of a reindeer surrounded by a Winter Wonderland. She shrieked, “It’s tiiiime!”
