Georgia Police Officer Responds To Call To Remove Juvenile
A Georgia police officer has a unique response to a call asking to remove a juvenile from the area. Officer Colleran from the Hapeville Police Department chose to bless the boy who was in the area for a specific reason.
According to the City of Hapeville Police Facebook page, Officer Colleran made contact with the young boy who explained why he was there. The boy was in the area trying to do yard work in an effort to save up for a PlayStation.
While the Facebook post left this part out, WSB-TV said the 16-year-old was working to earn money to buy clothes for his 5 younger siblings. And he was hoping he’d earn enough to also purchase himself a PlayStation.
Officer Colleran was impressed with the young man, who they described as polite, respectful, and truthful. Colleran is a gamer himself, so he and his friends went in together to get the young man a PlayStation. And they also got him a gift card to pay for the membership. And Officer Colleran also wanted to make sure the boy knew they’d play on the same team online soon.
