With the use of Google search data, Totalshape.com was able to conduct a study to examine search volumes of the top twenty most searched fruit across each state. According to the results, Georgia’s most popular fruit of 2023 is here.

We might know Georgia as the peach state, but when it comes to search engine results, it’s looking more like the big apple.

Apples are the most popular and most searched fruit in Georgia with 150, 583 searches.

Mangoes ranked 2nd place with 20,150 searches.

Bananas are the 3rd most popular fruit with 12,142 average monthly searches.

Apples are not only Georgia’s most popular fruit but it is actually one of the most popular fruits across the nation with a monthly search of 4,684,392.

According to the University of Illinois Extension, there are 7,500 varieties of apples in existence throughout the world. Approximately 76 million tons of apples are produced globally each year. 2,500 of them are grown in the United States. 22 different types are typically grown in Georgia.
