CSRA News: Richmond County Investigating Two Deaths
Richmond County authorities are investigating two deaths over the weekend.
Coroner Mark Bowen says 63 year old Duane Sheffield of Grovetown was hit while walking in the 3600 block of Deans Bridge Road early Saturday morning.
Sheffield died at the scene. No information about the driver has been released.
On Monday, authorities were called to the site of a hit and run that left one man dead.
Thirty eight year old Jerry McKinnon of Sardis was hit in the 2700 block of Coleman Avenue around 2:30 p.m. He died at the scene. An autopsy will be performed this week. The driver is still being sought.
