4 Richmond County Schools Transition To Virtual Learning

According to a press release from Richmond County School System, four of their schools are transitioning to Learn@Home.

The transition is a result of increased COVID-19 related staff absences.

Tobacco Road, Wheeless Road, and W.S. Hornsby Elementary Schools and Laney High School are the four schools. The transition will take place Friday, January 7 through Tuesday, January 11.

In-person learning will resume on Wednesday, January 12.

This information was sent home with students today with Learn@Home instruction.

Meals are available for pickup from the side entrance of the school cafeterias Friday, Monday and Tuesday between 8am and 2pm.

Richmond County School System will continue to follow guidance from public health officials to ensure current recommendations are followed to clean and disinfect the school facilities and act in the best interest of the students, teachers and staff.
