Some Augusta Hotels Have Vacancies
Surprisingly, some Augusta hotels have vacancies, despite the Masters Tournament being in town this week.
According to WJBF, even with less patrons expected at the Augusta National this week, some hotels are fully booked.
We’re used to seeing hotels fully booked months in advance, with no rooms available for miles around the CSRA. And some hotels are booked as normal. But for the Holiday Inn Express in North Augusta, only about a third of their bookings are for Masters patrons. Some of their current guests are frontline workers who have been around throughout the pandemic.
Oddly enough, some hotels do still have rooms available. The Partridge Inn is one of them. The General Manager, Lloyd Van Horn, said they’re usually sold out more than a year in advance.
There have been an influx of reservations over the past few weeks, and those hotels with available rooms expect them to be filled before the week is over.
Did you expect any Augusta hotels to have vacancies at this point? Between this, and the Masters traffic situation, this year we’re learning to expect the unexpected!
