Augusta GreenJackets Season Schedule Announced
It’s been a LONG time since the CSRA has seen a baseball game at SRP Park in North Augusta, but the wait will soon come to an end with the official Augusta GreenJackets 2021 Championship Season schedule being announced!
As the newest member of the Atlanta Braves Minor League system, this will be the GreenJackets fourth year at SRP Park, with the season getting underway Tuesday, May 4 against the Columbia Fireflies (Kansas City Royals), with a total of six games against Columbia from the 4th through May 9. After the first week, Augusta will hit the road to face the Myrtle Beach Pelicans (Chicago Cubs).
GreenJackets General Manager, Brandon Greene, shares our excitement, saying, “We are extremely excited that professional baseball at SRP Park will return in a few short months. It’s been 531 long days since the GreenJackets last played a game.”
The 2021 Championship Season will feature six-game series’ to be played Tuesday through Sunday, with Monday being a universal off day for the Low-A East. SRP Park will host 10 homestands with the GreenJackets, with 60 of the 120 games being at home. The season starts here at home, and will wrap up at Myrtle Beach on September 19.
The GreenJackets will host five of the 12 teams in the newly assigned Low-A East League: Columbia Fireflies (Kansas City Royals), Fayetteville Woodpeckers (Houston Astros), Charleston RiverDogs (Tampa Bay Rays), Myrtle Beach Pelicans (Chicago Cubs), and the Kannapolis Intimidators (Chicago White Sox). Augusta, Columbia, Charleston, and Myrtle Beach are in the South Division, with Fayetteville and Kannapolis in the Central Division. The GreenJackets will travel for a game against the Carolina Mudcats (Milwaukee Brewers), who are part of the Central Division, for a 6-game road series in August.
