Mick Jagger Heart Surgery a Success
Mick Jagger has undergone successful heart valve surgery today (April 4) in New York City.
Billboard reports their source said Jagger is currently “recovering and in great health.” He will be monitored by doctors for any potential complications that could arise as a result of the procedure.
Jagger’s surgery has resulted in the postponement of their “No Filter” North American tour, which was slated to kick off in April. As of the time of publishing, the rescheduled headlining dates of the tour have yet to be announced.
The Stones, however, won’t be able to reschedule their appearance at the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival, which was set to take place on May 2. They have now be replaced on the bill by Fleetwood Mac, due to the time needed for Jagger to fully recover.
