Frank Zappa Hologram: See a Sneak Peak Here
The whole hologram trend elicits many different opinions, but it’s hard to think after seeing this preview anyone would think the Frank Zappa hologram wasn’t pretty cool.
Zappa’s YouTube page just shared the preview below, which shows the hologram Zappa talking about censorship. The clip is in response to Ticketmaster not using the Zappa Family Trust’s original promotional poster artwork because it featured “questionable content” in the form of a human posterior on a penguin in a clear reference to the Zappa song “Penguin in Bondage.”
The “Warning/guarantee label” shown in the video is now cleverly covering the offending penguin and is a callback to the label Zappa put on his 1985 album Frank Zappa Meets the Mothers of Prevention criticizing the Parents Music Resource Center (PMRC) and their fight for Parental Advisory label on albums with mature themes.
Fans will get to enjoy the Zappa hologram in its full glory when “The Bizarre World of Frank Zappa” hits the road beginning in April.
