5 Best Styx Songs Written By Dennis DeYoung
Dennis DeYoung celebrates his birthday today (February 18.)
While he may not be with Styx anymore, he’s responsible for some of the band’s biggest hits. In honor of his birthday, here are the five best Styx songs written by DeYoung.
5. “Mr. Roboto”
Thanks to this song, most of us know at least one Japanese phrase, and for that, we say, “Dōmo.”

4. “The Grand Illusion”
It makes sense that the intro to “The Grand Illusion” is, in fact, ridiculously grand.
3. “Babe”
If you don’t think “Babe” is one of the best ballads ever, then I must be on my way, because you’re insane!
2. “Lady”
While “Babe” is an incredible ballad, “Lady” is definitely the strongest in Styx’s arsenal. You gotta love that big chorus, too!

1. “Come Sail Away”
Could it really be any other song? It’s one of the best classic rock sing-a-longs and has one of the best build-ups from beginning to end in all of classic rock, too.
