Now We Finally Know The Cost To Hang Out With Gene Simmons
KISS bassist Gene Simmons is establishing new levels of “deluxe” for his upcoming Gene Simmons: The Vault Experience, a 10-disc box set that features 150 recordings he’s made since 1966.
Simmons and his own band will be touring in support of the set throughout 2018, and during that time he’s offering a selection of “experiences” for those willing to pay the big bucks. $50,000, for instance, gets you The Home Experience, for which Simmons will personally deliver buyers one of the first 300 numbered “Vaults” packages and spend two hours at the location of the buyer’s choice, entertaining up to 25 people with a playback and Q&A sessions.
Two Executive Producers Experiences for $25,000 features a personal Skype call, a one-hour private studio preview of “The Vault” and a credit as an executive producer of the collection.

In a statement announcing the project, Simons says that, “You might think you know all about me, but believe it or not there’s more. After years of being in the spotlight with KISS, I’ve decided it’s time to share another side with you, a deeply personal one. With The Vault, I’ve created a 50-year time capsule…that serves as a soundtrack to my life, filled with songs I’ve written but have never released until now.”
Besides the music — including songs Simmons demoed with members of Van Halen during 1977 for KISS’ Love Gun album – the package features other goodies such as a T-shirt, a Simmons action figure, a deluxe book, commemorative coin and more.
Simmons is currently playing shows with his own band, while KISS has four shows booked for later this month in Texas, Arkansas and Louisiana.
