Alice Cooper Introducing ‘Wayne’s World’ Screening
Chicagoland will not be worthy on Tuesday (September 5).
That’s the day Alice Cooper, on tour to promote his new album, Paranormal, will introduce a free showing of Wayne’s World to celebrate the Saturday Night Live spin-off’s 25th anniversary. You’ll recall that Cooper made a memorable appearance in the movie, performing “Feed My Frankenstein” and greeting Wayne and Garth (Mike Meyers and Dana Carvey) backstage, where he essayed about the history of Milwaukee.
The free screening takes place at the Jay Pritzker Pavilion and Great Lawn in Millennium Park, not far from Wayne’s World’s home base of Aurora.
Cooper’s tour with Deep Purple and the Edgar Winter Band plays Wednesday (September 6) at the Hollywood Casino Amphitheatre in nearby Tinley Park.
