New Books on Bob Dylan, Jann Wenner Slated For Release
A pair of new books will focus on a couple of rock ‘n’ roll luminaries of the ’60s.
Scott Marshall‘s Bob Dylan: A Spiritual Life is due out June 20 and will, as the title suggests, focus on Dylan’s spirituality, including his controversial switch from Judaism to Christianity, and then back, during the late 70s and early 80s. The book also examines the role of spirituality in Dylan’s music, and Marshall talked to sources that include former U.S. President Jimmy Carter and a first-time interview with Dylan’s ex-wife Carolyn Dennis.
…Rolling Stone magazine founder Jann Wenner, meanwhile, will be examined in Sticky Fingers: The Life and Times of Jann Wenner and Rolling Stone Magazine by Joe Hagan.
Wenner cooperated and sat for interviews for the book, due out October 24, and Hagan also spoke with Paul McCartney, Mick Jagger, Keith Richards, Yoko Ono, Bruce Springsteen, Pete Townshend, Lorne Michaels, Michael Douglas and many others for the tome.
