We’re gearing up for the unofficial kick-off to Summer this weekend.  It’s a long 3-day weekend for a lot of people, and we hope you enjoy and stay safe.  For some, they’ll be traveling.  But, there will also still be a lot of people in town.  And that’s okay because we have a lot of things going on in and around the CSRA this Memorial Day weekend.  We’ve put together a list below for you, and while we did our best to list everything, there are probably a few we missed!   • GreenJackets Baseball

    The Augusta GreenJackets are home this week, and playing against the Kannapolis Cannon Ballers.  Games are May 23rd through May 28th. They will have a MEGA Memorial Day Fireworks show after the game on Sunday.

  • Saturday Market at the River

    Enjoy a stroll through the many vendors downtown on Saturday from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the 8th Street Plaza. This local farmer and artisan market is pet friendly and free to the public.

  • Kayak or Boat on the Savannah River

    Ready to get out and explore the great outdoors?  Augusta offer so many great places to check out.  From the Augusta Canal, the Savannah River, the Greeneway in North Augusta and more.

    You can always rent a kayak or boat to get out on the water.  Two Dudes and a Boat Kayak Rentals and Tours is hosting a Memorial Day Fireworks Paddle

  • The Evans Market

    The Evans Market kicks off Saturday morning at 9 a.m. at The Plaza at 7015 Evans Towne Center Boulevard.  A variety of vendors will be on site until 1 p.m.

  • Aiken

  • Aiken Memorial Day Parade

    The parade is Saturday, May 27th, at 10 a.m. in downtown Aiken.  Get the details HERE.

  • Aiken County Farmers Market

    Looking for fresh produce and local shops and vendors? Check out the Aiken County Farmers Market on Saturday, 7:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at 115 Williamsburg Street Between Richland and Park Avenues.

  • Books-N-Things Fair - Aiken County Community Association

    The Aiken County Community Association is hotsing their Books-N-Things Fair Friday, May 26th through Sunday, May 28th at St. John’s Methodist Church Gymnasium (104 Newberry Street NW, Downtown Aiken).  Friday and Saturday hours are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday from 1 p.m. to 5 pm.

    Funds raised at the book sale go to help young people pay tuition at USC Aiken and Aiken Tech.
