If nothing else has screamed summer is on the way, today has- because it’s National BBQ Day! National BBQ Day was created to serve as a reminder of a staple American dish. The word barbeque actually has two meanings – a gathering with a certain style of food or the cooking method that is used.  Lucky for us, we’ve got a number of BBQ spots in Augusta.

Thinking of how you can celebrate today? How about finding a place to grab your favorite BBQ meal?

In no particular order or choice, here are a few BBQ spots in Augusta and surrounding areas for you to spend the day right.

  • Fish Eye grill

    This restaurant opened back in 2018 and now there known as the “home of the BBQ in the heart of Girard”.

  • SmokeShow BBQ

    With three food trucks, you can find them parked all around the CSRA. They are known for there southern style BBQ.

  • Mot's Pit Cooked Barbeque

    This restaurant is located off of Columbia Rd.

  • The Pot Smoker BBQ

    Located in North Augusta, SC, this place is known to use a certain secret ingredient that keeps the people coming back.

  • Sconyers Bar-B-Que


    This restaurant has been serving the the CSRA for over sixty years and strive for tradition.
