Being a kid of the 80’s you know as I do, No one rocked the 80s like Bon Jovi. While we have more than 10 Bon Jovi Songs That Never Gets Old, we can agree that the Jersey Boys brought us a ton of great songs.

Who is Bon Jovi?

Jon began performing live in 1975, at the age of 13, playing piano and guitar with his first band, Raze.   At age 16, Jon met David Bryan and formed a band called Atlantic City Expressway.   Also in 1980, Jon recorded his first single, “Runaway” in his cousin’s studio, backed up by studio musicians.  The song was played by a local radio station on a compilation tape and got the attention of Mercury Records in New York.  In March 1980, Bon Jovi called his friend David Bryan, who in turn called bassist Alec John Such, and found a drummer named Tico Torres.

Richie Sambora joined the band at the urging of  Alec John Such and Tico Torres in 1982.  We then had the original members of Bon Jovi.  The original name they started with was Johnny Electric.  With guidance from industry people, they decided on Bon Jovi, Not a name they wanted, but “Runaway” hit the charts as Bon-Jovi, so it stuck
