Georgia Apple Orchard Recognized as One of America’s Best
A Georgia apple orchard has been named one of the finest in all of America by the experts at USA Today. The fall months bring so many fun activities, and one of the most popular is visiting an apple orchard. I actually went to an apple orchard the second September started. It’s never too early to partake in the apple and cider mill fun, and because I just enjoy the experience. In any case, I’m happy to see this Georgia apple orchard getting attention on a national scale. It just makes me want to eat as many apples as possible. They say an apple a day keeps the doctor away, right?
Georgia Apple Orchard is a Must-Visit
The experts at USA Today have a new 10 Best tally out featuring the most popular apple orchards in America. “To help with the harvest, these 10 apple orchards — selected by an expert panel and voted by readers as the best in the country — open their gates for visitors to come and pick their own fruit or shop pre-picked apples in their markets, often with added autumn entertainment,” they note. USA Today adds that today, more than 25,000 growers produce apples across all 50 states, per to the U.S. Apple Association. That’s a lot of apples.
According to the U.S. Apple Association, apples are the No. 1 most consumed fruit in America. An impressive 50 states grow apples, and 42 million bushels of apples are exported each year. I’m wondering how many of those apples are used to make apple pie, because apple pie is certainly an American favorite. “The U.S. apple industry brings billions of dollars to our economy each year, represents thousands of jobs, and brings nutritious food to consumers around the world,” they state. “We unite state and regional apple associations across the country to advocate for policies that help growers continue to produce America’s favorite fruit.”
So, which Georgia apple orchard made the cut?
