We all know the odds of winning tonight’s $1.2 billion Powerball lottery are very slim. It’s something like 1 in 292,201,338, according to Powerball.com. So, obviously not the best odds. But, there are some odd things that you have better odds of happening to you, according to The Motley Fool! But, if you were to win, what would you do with the money?  This South Carolina man won big, and here’s what he did first!

Now, here are 10 Things More Likely To Happen Than Winning The Powerball Lottery:

  • 1. Have Baby Born With Teeth

    Yes, it’s rare, but it’s happened!  The odds are actually about 1 in 2,000 to 3,000.  Way better odds than the lottery!

  • 2. Get A Hole In One

    We know there are a lot of avid golfers here in the Augusta area, and we also know a hole in one can be elusive. But there’s still a better chance with that than winning the lottery!  The odds are about 1 in 3,000 for a tour player… and 1 in 12,000 for an average golfer.

  • 3. Become A Movie Star

    Since being a movie star could bring some wealth along with it, you might consider taking a shot over playing the lottery.  The odds are estimated to be around 1 in 1.5 million.  Slim yes, but still better than 1 in 292 million!

  • 4. More Likely To Go To The ER Due To A Golf Cart Accident

    Sure, golf seems like a fairly safe sport, but there’s a 1 in 22,355 chance you could get seriously injured in a golf cart accident and be sent to the emergency room.

  • 5. More Likely To Find A Pearl In An Oyster

    This depends on if you even eat oysters, but you might want to start!  You could be 1 in 12,000 to find a pearl. But they usually are more like a pebble than the pearl you think of when it comes to jewelry!

  • 6. More Likely To Be Struck By Lightning

    Getting struck by lightning has about a 1 in 1 million chance of happening.  Again, still better odds than the Powerball lottery winner!

    The odds of being injured by a toilet? They’re around 1 in 10,000! This could happen with a toilet detaching from the wall… or get injured in the process of replacing a toilet.

    From the 2021 class, acceptance rate from those who applied was about 5.2%.  That’s about a 1 in 20 chance of getting into Harvard. But, that does mean you’d have to apply.  And we all know Harvard students are usually above-average students, but even though an average student would have lower odds of getting in– there’s still a better chance than winning the Powerball jackpot!
