As we get closer and closer to Halloween it’s safe to say,  Halloween Is For The Dogs and they are just as important as they need look their best to get treats on Halloween!

Cost Of Pet Costumes

Nearly half a billion dollars is spent in the United States each year on Halloween costumes.  20% of Americans say they will dress their pets up for Halloween.

Safety First

If you decide to take your dog trick-or-treating, be sure that the costume is comfortable and safe.  You don’t want anything to cause your dog to choke, block its vision or cause a distraction

If you don’t plan to take your dog out and instead show it off to trick-or-treaters, make sure Fido is comfortable with people and won’t become frightened or escape from the house.

It may also be helpful to warn trick-or-treaters that you have a dog before they ring the doorbell (sadly, not everyone loves dogs as much as you do). Consider posting a sign at the end of your walkway to alert visitors.

Here are 8 Halloween safety tips to help you keep The dogs Of Halloween Safe this year

Treats For The Dogs

Last but not least, make sure your dog doesn’t get a hold of the candy! We know it is Halloween, and everyone is joining in on the fun, but candy can be harmful to dogs. You don’t want your pup to choke or accidentally swallow any wrappers.  Why not create a “Treat Bowl” for your dog and let that be his trick or treat bowl and give them a treat just as you would one of the kids.  Wrap up some treat bags for dog incase any trick or treaters show up at your front door with their dog and you can give out pet treats as well
