Do you know the 4 things you shouldn’t buy in December?

Well, here we are halfway through the month.. and you’ve probably done a LOT of shopping.  But, if you still plan on buying some things, below are 4 things you shouldn’t buy in December!

Some of these are really no-brainers if you think about it.

Offers.com is hoping to help you save a little cash this month by sharing the top items you shouldn’t purchase in December. And who doesn’t want to save money?

  • 1. Winter Clothes

This makes sense. Because you’re in the current season, retailers will more than likely keep these items at full price throughout the season. Heavy coats and boots will be more expensive. It’s best to wait until late winter, or end of the season completely. That’s when retailers will be eager to clear out old inventory to make way for spring styles!

  • 2. Home Goods

It’s tempting to want to purchase some of these items during the holiday season… but if you missed out on Black Friday savings, you might want to wait.  If possible, wait until the first of the year.  This is when you’ll get New Year’s sales on things like mattresses.  And then there’s President’s Day, which usually brings some great savings on furniture. Many stores also do “white sales” in January on things like bedding, towels and other soft items.

  • 3. TVs

Again, if you missed out on Black Friday savings, you’re better off waiting until early February to upgrade your TV! Shoppers should wait until the week or so before the Super Bowl (Sunday, February 13, 2022). This is a great way that retailers incentivize their customers to upgrade!

  • 4. Exercise Equipment

Prices on fitness equipment will be better AFTER the first of the year when people start really thinking about those New Years Resolutions.  Before then, you may find a few good holiday deals… but if you can, wait til January!
