Augusta's social calendar features something for everyone this weekend. The 3rd Annual Off Broad Street Short Play Festival, a volunteer day at Phinizy Swamp, and the 4th Annual Bring On Spring White Affair headline a weekend packed with theater, community, and celebration.
3rd Annual Off Broad Street Short Play Festival
- What: Nine plays; one festival
- When: Friday, April 17, and Saturday, April 18, 2026, at 8 p.m. (additional dates available through April 25, 2026)

- Cost: Tickets start at $29.13
The 3rd Annual Off Broad Street Short Play Festival includes nine short plays selected from submitted scripts. The eight main selections feature works by Stephen Spotswood, Dave Huber, Samara Siskind, Elizabeth Shannon, Jaclyn Stiller, Mike Byham, Michael Lin, and Steven G. Martin. This year, the festival introduces the Pareizs Selection, in honor of Zachary Pareizs, the first local writer featured in the festival, and awarded to the highest-scoring script from a local playwright. The 2026 Pareizs Selection goes to Amy Patton for "When I Sorrow Most."
Volunteer Work Day

Phinizy Swamp Nature Park invites you to participate in a Volunteer Work Day on April 18 from 9 a.m. to noon. Volunteers will tackle priority projects, such as boardwalk repairs, trail maintenance, and litter pickup. Families are welcome, though some projects may be age dependent. 4th Annual Bring On Spring White Affair
- What: White attire, dining, and dancing
- When: Sunday, April 19, 2026, from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m.
- Where: Ikonz Event Center, 1515 N. Leg Road, Augusta,
- Cost: Tickets start at $31.60
The 4th Annual Bring On Spring White Affair returns for a day party combining sophistication, community, and celebration. Guests should dress in white with a pastel accent, while award-winning caterer Grace 4 Taste will provide a full-course meal. GA Boys Express DJ's and DJC4 will supply the entertainment. The event also features a cigar lounge, a cash bar, merchandise vendors, and the presentation of the Community Appreciation Awards. Uprise Events and Entertainment, Certified CEO Clothing, and Beverly's Body Butter host the afternoon's celebrations.
