Columbia County Chamber Hosts Candidate Forum Thursday for May Election
The Columbia County Chamber of Commerce will host a candidate forum tonight from 5 to 8 p.m. at Hardin Auditorium inside the Evans Library.

The Columbia County Chamber of Commerce will host a candidate forum on Thursday, April 16, from 5 to 8 p.m. at Hardin Auditorium inside the Evans Library. Voters can hear from those running in the May 19 election.
Invitations went out to candidates in five races. Board of Education District 2. Board of Education District 3. County Commission chair. County Commission District 1 and County Commission District 4.
The forum will work as an informational session, not a debate. Each participating candidate will give remarks about their platform and what they plan to do if elected.
Doors will open at 4:30 p.m. at the venue, located at 7022 Evans Town Center Blvd. Anyone can attend.
Chamber officials said that participation might shift. While invitations have been sent to candidates in the listed races, who shows up remains unclear.
"The Chamber encourages all community members to attend and engage in this opportunity to hear firsthand from those seeking to serve in these important roles," according to a press release from the Columbia County Chamber of Commerce.
