Georgia Attorney General Chris Carr unveiled the "Eyes on the Road" Campaign, a statewide push to locate and bring back missing children. Carr's Human Trafficking Prosecution Unit leads the way, teaming up with UPS, RaceTrac, Truckers Against Trafficking, and the Georgia Hotel & Lodging Association.

"The majority of our human trafficking cases involve a missing child, and we're using all available resources to safely bring them home," said Chris Carr, per All On Georgia. "By partnering with UPS, RaceTrac, Truckers Against Trafficking, and GHLA, we're able to expand our footprint and save even more lives."

The program dispatches "Be on the Lookout" alerts to companies when solid tips about missing children surface. Workers receive instructions on how to call in any sightings through their chosen company contact.

Georgia First Lady Marty Kemp said the campaign lets businesses play a bigger part in rescuing survivors. "Human traffickers thrive when they can hide in plain sight, which is why steps like this that create eyes and ears statewide are so important," said Marty Kemp.

The Human Trafficking Prosecution Unit started in 2019 with backing from Governor Brian Kemp and state lawmakers. Since its creation, prosecutors have secured more than 70 convictions and brought over 200 children to safety.

"A trained and engaged driver workforce dedicated to making a simple phone call can and will change lives," said UPS.

Chris Hardman, President and CEO of GHLA, said hotel teams will get real-time tools to spot and report missing children. The association has become a national leader in training and prevention work.

Businesses can sign up by filling out a web form and choosing a point person to receive alerts. That contact will pass along information internally per company policies.
