The Patch, the redesigned Augusta Municipal Golf Course, will open its doors to the public this spring during Masters week. Work kicked off last March and has progressed through several phases over nine months.
Trucks hauled sod to the site all summer long. The course got full turf coverage as of Aug. 3.
Crews now concentrate on finishing the clubhouse, which sits near Wrightsboro and Damascus roads. The clubhouse and on-course comfort station should be ready around New Year's.
Job openings are available at the facility now. Positions include golf professionals, cart attendants, shop attendants, food staff, beverage staff, and greenskeepers.
Those interested in working there can email thepatch@bobbyjoneslinks.com. The hiring process ramps up as the facility prepares for its spring launch.
The opening coincides with one of golf's most-watched events. Masters week pulls thousands of visitors into Augusta each year, creating a perfect moment for the debut.
Bobby Jones Links manages the facility, which will serve public golfers across the region. This project marks a fresh start for what was once the municipal course.
