Southern Strings Music Festival is bringing a lineup to Aiken that includes Greensky Bluegrass, Leftover Salmon, Futurebirds, and more.
Getty ImagesAfter a storm shutdown in 2024, the Southern Strings Festival returns to Bruce's Field in Aiken. The two-day music festival, set for Oct. 3-4, supports the Kisner Foundation's youth programs.
Gates open at 5 p.m. on Friday, with the Kenny George Band performing first. The Dusty Angels start Saturday's shows at 11:15 a.m., with acts playing through the night. According to The Post and Courier, the field on Powderhouse Road should pack in 2,000 music fans.
"We're already sold out of Saturday VIPs and weekend VIPs," said George Claussen, CEO and founder of Friends With Benefits Productions, according to The Post and Courier. "The support of the event is going very well."
Fans missed out when Tropical Storm Helene cancelled the 2024 show. The historic flooding shut power off for weeks across town. This year's lineup bounces back with nearly the same artists from last year's canceled show.
Based in Augusta, Friends With Benefits Productions runs shows that give back. Their partnership with the Kisner Foundation aims to build better spaces where kids can thrive.
VIP packages are already sold out and other tickets are going fast. Friday passes start around $55, while full weekend tickets start around $128. Purchase tickets on the Southern Strings Festival website.
