Great Louisiana-style food in Augusta

Jim Beck opened his restaurant in January 1997 with three partners, one being Frank Chirkinian with CBS Sports, who oversaw the Masters coverage for four decades. Since then, French Market Grill West has been the place for Great Louisiana-style food in Augusta.

Jim bought out his partners in 2006 and has been the sole owner since then. Serving authentic Cajun dishes that keep loyal customers coming back. Most of the diners on any given day or evening are regulars.

Sushi?

French Market Grille West features the best of Louisiana, like Po-Boy sandwiches, gumbo, red beans and ice, and more. Their best seller is seafood pasta, and their second best-seller, believe it or not, is sushi. Many people say their sushi may be the best in town, but it's only available after 5 p.m.

As you can see, the menu is more than what you see in New Orleans, including the famous French Market Grille hamburger. It's got a little kick to it, and it is delicious. Try it with their homemade fries or chips.

I Love This Bar

The bar also has a good crowd each evening, with many regulars gathering after work or on weekends. As you would suspect, they have a great wine selection, too.
