Augusta University Give a Smile Dental Program is hosting a 5K Dental Dash

Runners, walkers, and people just wanting to get in a good exercise opportunity, this is for you!

And get this! You will also be helping out the community.

Give A Smile Program at the Dental College of Georgia is having a 5k Dental Dash to help fundraise for their patients.

What is the Give a Smile Program ?

Give a Smile Program is a student led organization hoping to transforming lives through improved oral HealthCare. The program came about in 2004, by a group of students who were very passionate about helping others with dental care.

With dental care being an essential part of your overall well being, they offer quality dental services to those that may be facing financial challenges at this time. This program also fights to bridge the gap between financial blockage and proper dental care, ensuring that every patient can receive the treatment they deserve with The Dental College of Georgia.

The event will take place Saturday, October 7, 2023. If you are planning to be apart of the race, you would need to arrive between 7:00-7:45 AM to check in. The race will begin at 8am at Lake Olmstead Trailhead. If you want to get the whole family invioled, Adults are $25 and children are $15.

Each participant will receive a free raffle ticket for gift cards and prizes from local businesses! All racers will receive a coupon to the Fleet Feet Augusta shoe store. There will also be vendors, prizes, and t-shirts. Who doesn’t love t-shirts! Click here to register.

School wide, Augusta University will be showcasing other events for the community to be able to give.

Augusta University will have their Annual Kickoff celebration fro IGIVE. This will begin October 3rd from 11:30am to 1:30 pm. IGIVE is an annual campaign geared towards AU employees. This allows AU employees to give back. Which also directly impacts the colleges, services, and other programs that they work with or are passionate about.
