One Week From Today Augusta Gets Busy
One week from today Augusta gets busy. The one week of the year that the eyes of the world are on Augusta, Georgia. To a lot of people, this week is either one you really look forward to, or you can’t wait for it to be over. You can’t wait for Spring Break and vacation time.
For the ones who love this week, you are in paradise. Trips to the course, the food, the golf, the night time fun. There’s so much to do. From Rock Fore! Dough on Tuesday to having watch parties with friends, this is the greatest week of the year in Augusta.
When it comes to going to the course, it’s magic to me. It never gets old and I hope that it never will. I am not like most people when comes to going to the course. I do like to watch some golf. To me, there’s nothing better than sitting under the big trees with a BBQ sandwich, a Pimento cheese sandwich, and Diet Coke and just sitting there and people-watching and talking to guests from out of town. After that, go back, get an egg salad sandwich, a cookie, and another Diet Coke, and talk to more people and watch more people. It’s just so much fun.
There are always favorites going into the tournament as to who is going to win the check and the Green Jacket, but the reality is golf is a game you can’t predict because of weather, injuries and sometimes just plain luck.
