CSRA News: Arrest Warrant Issued in Dispute with Mayor Pro Tem
An arrest warrant was issued Wednesday in the wake of Tuesday’s scuffle involving a local businessman and Mayor Pro Tem Bobby Williams outside Commission Chambers at the Municipal Building. Businessman Cortez Walker accused Williams of pushing him during a reportedly heated discussion.
The Richmond County Marshall’s Office, which provides security at the Municipal Building, issued the warrant after viewing video of the incident that showed Walker threw the punch, not the Mayor Pro Tem.
Walker will be charged with misdemeanor simple battery.
