CSRA Critical Need for Blood Donation
Did you know that January is National Blood Donation Month?
In the CSRA there is a critical need for blood donation. And, it’s is a great way you can give back to your community. Especially right now! Our friends at Shepeard Community Blood Center are in major need of donations right now.
Between the holidays and the pandemic, donations have been slow to come in. This results in a very low supply, which could affect someone you know and love. You never know when someone you love could need blood. Giving blood can help save a life– or several!
Each pint of blood could save up to three lives locally! It’s a precious gift you can give to someone.
Right now, Shepeard Community Blood Center is asking for donations of blood and platelets. The biggest need is for O positive and O negative, and ALL platelet types.
CSRA, while there may be a critical need for blood donation… we can make a difference! Donate today!
The next community drive will be Thursday, January 27th from 10am-7pm at True North Church in North Augusta.
You can make an appointment to donate by calling 706-737-4551 or drop in at one of their locations: Evans, Augusta, or Aiken.
