Man Arrested in Aiken Charged With Murder
A man was recently arrested in Aiken, and later charged with murder in a Georgia county.
The Union-Recorder of Milledgeville reported the father of a man who owns a home in Devereux, found a body on June 4. He could smell decomposing flesh, which led him to find the body, covered in maggots, in a shed on the property.
The 33-year-old Collin Demmon has been charged with malice murder.
The victim of the murder was identified by the Georgia Bureau of Investigation as 29-year-old Justin Yeng Xiong. He was Demmon’s roommate and had only been living there for a short time.
Demmon was arrested in Aiken County, SC, back on June 1 for other charges. He was found after a vehicle was blocking the road and Demmon was seen walking around and acting erratically.
Demmon had been driving a yellow Jeep that belonged to Xiong, with a bloody chainsaw in the back.
Xiong’s body, when found, had been cut into pieces and the body parts were wrapped in a plastic bag in the shed behind the house.
The motive for the murder has not been determined.
