Six People Dead in Rock Hill, South Carolina
According to WJBF, six people were found dead in Rock Hill, South Carolina late yesterday (Wednesday, April 7, 2021). The victims and the shooter have been identified.
Yesterday afternoon around 4:45 p.m. York County Sheriff’s Department was called to a house with reports of a shooting involving multiple people.
Deputies found 5 people dead at the home: Dr. Robert Lesslie, his wife Barbara, their two grandchildren Adah and Noah, along with James Lewis, who was doing work at the home during the incident.
All deaths are being investigated as homicides, with autopsy and toxicology reports pending.
According to reports from the Associated Press, the sixth person is former NFL pro Phillip Adams. He is being named as the person responsible for shooting the family. Adams killed himself sometime after midnight.
Adams played college football at South Carolina State, then followed that with a six-year NFL career. His most recent stent was playing for the Atlanta Falcons in 2015. He also played for the Oakland Raiders.
Detectives are still investigating.
