Stray Dog Repeatedly Tries To Steal Unicorn
A stray dog in North Carolina repeatedly tries to steal a unicorn. This may be the best and sweetest story you’ll read all week!
Sisu is a labrador retriever mix that’s around 1 year old. As a stray, he’d been getting into some trouble. He’d been repeatedly making his way into a North Carolina Dollar General store… every time, making a beeline for a specific thing: a puple unicorn on the toy aisle!
Employees at the store called animal control, and had to lock the store’s automatic doors until they came.
When Samantha Lane, an officer with Duplin County Animal Services, arrived, she not only got Sisu. But she also purchased the $10 stuffed unicorn.
Lane’s supervisor said this isn’t uncommon for her to do something like this. She thought maybe the unicorn would provide comfort for the pup until he found a home!
Sisu got his name from shelter employees, who named him after the dragon character in Disney’s Raya and the Last Dragon.
The animal shelter shared Sisu’s story, with quite the rap sheet.
Thankfully, it didn’t take long for Sisu to get adopted out… along with his unicorn!
Dollar General shared their appreciation with a food donation to Duplin County Animal Services, along with a gift for Officer Lane. They also donated a few extra purple unicorns for Sisu’s adoptive family!
There’s really no explanation why Sisu was so attracted to that unicorn. Instead of going after food, he went straight for this same toy each time. Some believe that he may have had something similar to it at his home before. Whatever the reason, Sisu looks beyond happy with his new toy. And we’re so glad to see he’s found his forever home!
