Bake at 400 degrees for 40-45 minutes until bubbly and the tater tots are brown!

This is a slight variation on the Tater Tot casserole recipe my mom made when I was growing up.  Most of it's the same, but I'm a picky eater so I tweaked it a bit... and added cheese.  Because who doesn't love cheese!

Tater Tot Casserole Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 1- 1 1/2 pounds of meat (I used ground turkey, but beef works too!)
  • Seasonings of choice (I used salt, pepper, onion, garlic, cayenne pepper and a dash of paprika)
  • 2 cans of Cream of Mushroom Soup
  • 2 pound bag of tater tots

Optional:

  • Cheese
  • Veggies

How To:

(Pictures below)

Preheat your oven to 400 degrees.

Start by browning your meat, then drain the grease. Then, add seasonings! I decided to add the paprika at the last minute.

Then mix in the cream of mushroom soup.

Once it's all mixed together, spread into a casserole dish (mine was a 9 X 13). I added the cheese on top of the mixture!

Add the tater tots! You can do this as neatly or as crazy as you want.  Just make a single layer!

Then bake at 400 degrees for 40-45 minutes-- until it's bubbly and the tater tots are brown!

Then serve up and enjoy!

This is a simple, easy, delicious meal that is picky eater (me) approved!  Have you ever made Tater Tot Casserole?  What recipe did you use?
