Theme Parks In California Want To ‘Mitigate Effects Of Screaming’
The California Amusement Park Association (CAPA), an industry trade group representing parks such as Disneyland, Six Flags Magic Mountain and Universal Studios Hollywood is advising its parks to adjust the seat-loading patterns on their rides to “mitigate the effect of shouting” when the parks reopen on April 1st, Fox News reports.
Further safety plans for California’s theme parks website are as follows:
- Thorough sanitization and disinfection protocols throughout their facilities
- Indoor activities will be moved outdoors
- Designated eating and drinking areas and face coverings will be required while guest walk through the park.
- Ample square footage will accommodate social distancing
- Different households separated as part of social distancing requirements
- All amusement parks include capacity reductions in their site-specific plans.
- Ample signage, staff controls, recorded instructions and appropriate barriers limit the amount of physical interactions of visitors
For the full, detailed list of what regulations California’s theme parks will have upon reopening, head to CAPA’s site for more info.
