National Margarita Day – A Recipe!
Whether you like it on the rocks or frozen, margaritas come in a variety ways and are a favorite for MANY of us! And what better day to talk about them than today- National Margarita Day! Personally, I think this day should be celebrated a little later in the year– when it’s warm and sunny enough to enjoy this delicious cocktail on a patio… but I’ll take what I can get! 🙂
In honor of National Margarita Day, I wanted to share my secret margarita recipe!
MARGARITA RECIPE:
- Two shots of your favorite tequila (more or less depending on your taste!)
- Your choice of margarita mix (I usually fill my glass almost full)
- A shot or two of Gran Gala liqueur
- A splash of Sprite
Mix and top with a lime and a dash of salt.
I prefer my margaritas on the rocks… but this can be done for frozen as well! And to be honest– I don’t always measure out my ingredients! It can take some tweaking of the recipe to get it exactly right– but I learned the Sprite trick when I was working at a Mexican restaurant back in my hometown!
Do you have a favorite way you make your margaritas? Will you be celebrating National Margarita Day? Pretty sure the only way the day could be better is if it was also Taco Tuesday!
