Kid Almost Dies When He Tries to Become Magnetic By Eating 54 Magnets
A 12 year old boy is lucky to be alive after spending 10 days unable to move without vomiting green liquid caused by his bowel leaking after his body could not pass 54 magnets he swallowed in an attempt to become magnetic.
Rhiley Morrison is a kid really into science and tried to conduct an experiment on his own body. He swallowed 54 little magnets in two different batches to see if he could get metal to stick to his stomach and find out what it would look like when his body passes them. Unfortunately his body did not pass them and he ended up hospitalized and had to eat through a feeding tube for 10 days.
After X-rays doctors estimated 25-30 magnets were lodged inside his body. He underwent a six hour emergency surgery and should make a full recovery. See pictures of him and his x-ray at the link below.
