A Tradition Unlike Any Other Begins: How to Watch the 2020 Masters
The traditional azalea blooms that send us into spring at Augusta National Golf Club are a long-distant memory this year. COVID-19 has impacted the lives of everyone, and we’re ready for a first at The 2020 Masters – November play.
With all the changes, some things remain the same, including how to watch the bulk of the tournament. ESPN and CBS remain the storied partners for the tournament, with ESPN showing the Thursday and Friday rounds, and CBS showing the weekend rounds. That’s all pretty normal.
And on the radio, we’ve got you covered all weekend too, just turn on your radio to WGAC AM 580 or 95.1 FM for special features and coverage.
What’s not normal is the 7 a.m. tee times needed to get all the play in before the sun goes down each day. And new this year, your favorite Beasley Media Group station is providing complete coverage of this year’s tournament on our websites and mobile apps. (Click here for the Round 1 Live Leaderboard.)
TV Coverage times are as follows:
- Thursday, Nov. 12: Live, 1-5:30 p.m., ESPN
- Friday, Nov. 13: Live, 1-5:30 p.m., ESPN
- Saturday, Nov. 14: 1-5 p.m., CBS.
- Sunday, Nov. 15: 10 a.m.-3 p.m., CBS.
But there are a few additions – or more accurately improvements on recent additions – that will let you watch play all day.
Masters.com and ESPN+ both will allow streaming coverage of the tournament. You can watch shot-by-shot play beginning at 7 a.m. from any golfer in the field, and even set up a “Featured Group” of your favorite golfers to watch all their shots.
Masters.com and the Masters mobile app will also feature their own Featured Group coverage. For the first round, their Featured Groups are as follows:
- 7:33 a.m. – Jon Rahm, Bryson DeChambeau, Louis Oosthuizen (No. 10 tee)
- 7:55 a.m. – Tiger Woods, Shane Lowry, Andy Ogletree (No. 10 tee)
- 11:27 a.m. – Bubba Watson, Matthew Wolff, Tommy Fleetwood (No. 10 tee)
- 11:38 a.m. – Francesco Molinari, Billy Horschel, Cameron Smith (No. 10 tee)
