Hobby Lobby Raising Minimum Wage To $17 For Hourly Employees
Christmas is coming early for Hobby Lobby employees! In a statement released yesterday (9/14), the company said it is raising the minimum wage for full-time hourly employees to $17 dollars.
“Because this year has presented so many challenges to our employees, we are very happy that we are able to provide pay increases to thousands of our associates before the Christmas season,” said Hobby Lobby CEO, David Green.
The company says that by taking care of their employees, they reduce turnover and improve morale among workers – which, in turn, results in a pleasant shopping experience for its customers.
The pay raise goes into effect on October 1st. You can read Hobby Lobby’s full statement here.
