Mötley Crüe Share Fan’s Reunion Petition, Call It ‘Interesting’
Mötley Crüe is either openly trolling their fans or this is potentially a hint that reunion could be in the works.
Both of the Crue’s Facebook and Twitter shared a Change.org petition titled “BRING MÖTLEY CRÜE BACK!” The shared petition was accompanied by the caption, “This is interesting…”
The petition was started by a user named “Motley Mann,” who shared the following well-written plea:
“To Mötley Crüe –
After breaking the replay button on “The Dirt” film, it is clear to me that the only way to fulfill my urge for the Crüe is for you guys to get back on the road. I know it’s not just me with this opinion; your movie has once again put you in the spotlight and built an entire new generation of Crüeheads who have a NATURAL BORN RIGHT to see you on stage. If the rumors circulating about a Mötley Crüe comeback are true, then let this petition solidify it. The new fans need a new tour, PLEASE COME BACK.
If any fellow Crüeheads are reading this, please sign and share to voice your support!
For those who are too young to remember: Mötley Crüe is an American rock band formed in Los Angeles, California, in 1981. The group was founded by bassist Nikki Sixx and drummer Tommy Lee, lead singer Vince Neil and lead guitarist Mick Mars.
They recently came back to fame with the Netflix Biopic ‘The Dirt’ which has sparked the fan base to increase streams on platforms such as Spotify dramatically recently. Bringing back memories for older fans and bringing the band into the spotlight for new fans alike.”
This development follows a slew of rumors about a potential reunion tour including one from Radar Online that alleges Vince Neil and Tommy Lee were fighting “over which aging superstar should go to rehab first,” because the band was close to embarking on a “$150 million Live Nation tour.” The story also alleged that promoters would agree to the tour deal if Neil lost weight and Lee went to rehab for issues related to drinking.
Neil addressed the story via Twitter saying “People these rumors are false. I haven’t spoken to any band members since [‘The Dirt’] movie premiere. I had to cancel shows due to back problems which I am getting treatment [for] now. There is no tension between me and Tommy. Don’t believe anything from these so-called gossip sites. Keep rocking.”
