Eddie Money Cancels Rest of 2019 Shows: Report
Eddie Money has reportedly been forced to cancel all remaining show dates for 2019 due to health issues.
Money had minor heart valve surgery around late May/early June, but TMZ is reporting that a rep for Money told them he developed pneumonia while recovering, and as a result has canceled the rest of his 2019 tour dates. An official statement from Money’s camp has yet to be released.
Just last week, Money’s health became a trending topic with Rick Springfield paid tribute to Money during a show where he was originally scheduled to appear.
“Our rock and roll brother, Eddie Money, was supposed to be here tonight. He had a detour into the hospital before the show,” Springfield said to the crowd in the video below before leading them into a “Get Well, Eddie” chant. Springfield then playfully introed his performance of “Two Tickets to Paradise” with, “Now we’re going to butcher one of Eddie’s song in celebration of him getting well soon.”
