Bruce Springsteen Voted Best Road Trip Artist
About to hit the road on an epic road trip? Make sure The Boss is riding shotgun.
Per The Asbury Park Press, the Car Care Council surveyed more than 25,000 vehicle owners and asked which artist’s music do they make sure they have when taking a road trip. A staggering 24% responded with Bruce Springsteen. Coming in at a distant second was Keith Urban (16.4%) followed by Bruno Mars (16.1%), Jimmy Buffett (15.7%), Lady Gaga (11.5%), Taylor Swift (8.6%) and Beyonce (7.7%.)
Springsteen’s popularity with providing the soundtrack for a road trip makes a ton of sense, especially when looking at his catalog. From “Thunder Road” to “Racing in the Streets,” he’s had more than a little affinity for cars and the open road.
As for when The Boss will hit the open road again in regards to a tour, that’s currently unknown. Springsteen has been laying low ever since Springsteen on Broadway closed in December 2018 after selling out 236 shows over the course of a little over a year of what was originally planned to be an eight-week engagement. He has continued to release new live sets via his official website, with the latest release coming out last week of a 1985 show at the Los Angeles Coliseum.
