Canadian Driver Gets Busted For Speeding, Blames Mötley Crüe
You can’t fault this Canadian driver for using this excuse for trying to get out of a speeding ticket.
The Royal Canadian Mounted Police in Manitoba shared the funny post below on their Facebook page that reads, “This driver’s excuse for going 145kmh? Kickstart my Heart by Mötley Crüe was on the radio. Funny enough, our officer knew he was telling the truth, since he was also listening to it – just at a much slower & safer speed. Fined $639.”

The kicker in this post is the hashtag #AlwaysGotTheCopsComingAfterMe, so the cop who was also listening to the Crue is an actual fan and really social media savvy.
However, there are some unanswered questions here that need addressing, like what was the speed limit in that zone to warrant a $639 ($482 USD) fine?! The driver was clocked going 145 kmh (about 90mph.) Was he in a residential area or a school zone? That fine seems pretty steep!
