Aerosmith‘s tenth studio album Pump was released 29 years ago today (September 12.)
The second album of a trilogy that helped the band’s resurgence in the 1980s and 1990s, Pump is one of Aerosmith’s most commercially successful albums selling seven million copies in the U.S. per the Recording Industry Association of America. Pump‘s singles also fared very well on the Billboard charts scoring three top tens on the Billboard Hot 100 with “Love in an Elevator” (#5), “Janie’s Got a Gun” (#4) and “What It Takes” (#9).
