The 11 p.m. update of Hurricane Florence has just been released.

Earlier, we reported the storm had been downgraded to a Category 3 storm.

Now, the hurricane has been downgraded again, to a Category 2 storm.

According to CBS 17, while the intensity of the storm has weakened, catastrophic conditions are still expected.

At this time, the predicted path suggests Florence will make landfall along the Carolina coast in the early hours of the morning on Friday.

In Charlotte, forecasters are calling for between 8 to 11 inches of rain over the weekend. (Source: WCNC)

In Fayetteville, that number is much higher -- With 20 inches of rain possible. (Source: Fayetteville Observer)

In the CSRA, folks could see about four inches of rain over the weekend.

Flooding remains a big concern for Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina, and potentially Virginia as well.
